5 Thought Leaders I Follow And You Should Too

If you want to succeed in life, one principle you definitely want to adopt is to learn from other people’s experiences.

As an entrepreneur, there are two things I have come to understand…

    • One, you never become an expert if you stop learning.
    • Two, wise men learn from other people around them.

Brian Tracy said it best, “continuous education is the minimum requirement for success in any field.” Fortunately these days, it’s not only easy to learn directly and indirectly from others. And everyone you meet has something valuable to teach you. I’ve inherited a bit of knowledge and wisdom from others. As a result, I’ve learned how to be a good manager, a better entrepreneur, and how to push through the successes and failures of life. While there are many people worth following, I’m sharing five thought leaders that I follow — and you should too. Each person on this list is a rockstar at what they do. They deliver much value through their blogs, websites, books, and social media profiles, much of which you can start implementing today.

Power up with these five thought leaders

AR BERNARD is the senior pastor of the Christian Cultural Center (CCC) the mega Brooklyn church. Bernard is an author, uniting influence, culture shifter, and mentor to thousands. With a natural gift for interpreting and communicating the scriptures, he believes bringing Christ to culture is essential. Visit CCC online and be welcomed into a life of spiritual growth and personal mission.

SARAH JAKES ROBERTS is a down-to-earth businesswoman and media personality expertly balancing career, ministry, and family. Whether through her books or viral messages, you’ll quickly fall in love with her blatant transparency. Sarah is the founder of Woman Evolve, a movement committed to erasing limits and challenging the norms of what it means to be a modern woman of faith.

BOZOMA SAINT JOHN doesn’t fit into a conventional box. She is a badass marketing vet who understands how to drive conversations around pop culture better than anyone. Bad Ass Boz gained notoriety after delivering an impressive presentation demonstrating new Apple Music features while playing “Rapper’s Delight” on stage at the 2016 Worldwide Developers Conference. She also made history as the first Black woman to present at an Apple event. Her Badass Workshop will help you expand your boundaries for career, life, and so much more.

STEVE HARVEY is a comedian, actor, radio personality, best-selling author, and talk show host. Steve believes that dreaming is more important than anything and he is on a mission of empowering, educating, inspiring, and motivating those who want more to create success in every area of your life. Get a copy of his #ActLikeASuccess Book and gain the mindset to climb your ladder of success.

DANIELE LAPORTE is a best-selling author, motivational speaker, and founder of the Desire Map. Danielle helps individuals manifest and chart their dreams by aligning themselves with their hearts’ desires. Get started with the Desire Map a heart-centered approach to sourcing your true power, clear thinking, and serving with joy.

One key tip I learned from TD JAKES (another thought leader I follow), is to always friend up! Because to get to the next level, you will need a sponsor that is already there who relates to you. People cannot teach you what they have not done.

For good measure, I threw in an extra for a grand total of 6 thought leaders I follow. *SMILE*
