I was honored with the Woman On The Rise award and citation from the New York State Assembly at the Women on the Rise Forum & Expo (now the HerRise Conference.
The Women on the Rise Conference is a premier event for multicultural career women who are entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs seeking to create a sustainable and profitable business. This year’s event held at the LaGuardia Plaza Hotel was themed ‘Beyond the 9-to-5.
So who is a woman on the rise? Being a ‘Women on the Rise’ means more than just the great work you do for yourself but also how you impact other women around you. A woman on the rise is one who is inspiring, and not only rising in her career or business but one that is committed to supporting other women.
I also had the honor of sharing my knowledge and expertise as a panelist on the ‘Media for Your Business’ panel, alongside Dawn Kelly and Sharon Devonish-Leid.
