In today’s digital age, one of the most basic things you can teach children is how to use technology responsibly.

With the digital boom, our children are constantly immersed in technology, and exposed to more screens and online communities than before. Everything we do — from school to work, healthcare, and more — is now handled digitally.

But while our children are digital natives, it doesn’t mean that they know how to use technology responsibly.

Technology is not going anywhere. And like in the physical world, there are certain rules for keeping order and staying safe. Therefore, we need to prepare and go about teaching kids to be good digital citizens.

For the podcast and the YouTube channel, I talk with DIY.org co-founders Tripti Ahuja and Bhavik Rathod about teaching kids to be good digital citizens. Listen as they also share how DIY.org is helping children globally interact and be creative online while staying safe and respectful.

Tripti Ahuja and Bhavik Rathod are a husband-wife duo who were looking for better extracurricular learning opportunities for their daughter. Realizing the opportunity, DIY was founded on a mission to connect kids who share interests because creativity is contagious!

DIY is the largest global interest-based community where learning happens through how-to videos, hands-on projects, and live interactive workshops. Formerly known as Kyt, DIY has been featured in Forbes India, Entrepreneur, and the Economic Times.  The platform has also won two Kidscreen awards for best website and best learning app.

If you’re looking for a learning platform that “promotes the do-it-yourself ability of a child”. Check out DIY.org! Your child can explore 100s of skills across areas like STEM, art, crafts, fun DIY stuff, gaming, coding – and everything in between. The platform enables thinking, learning, and creating in a safe environment that is moderated by experts and mentors 24/7, across all time zones.
