For the first time ever, a black photographer has shot the cover of Vogue thanks to Queen Bey.

If you’re a regular here, then you know we love bold #girlboss moves. And the Queen Bee is giving us life. In an unprecedented move, Beyonce appears to have taken over the September issue of Vogue, in what most speculated would be editor-in-chief Anna Wintour’s last issue. However, it seems that Anna will be Voguing for life.

Sources say, Anna gave Beyonce unprecedented control of the upcoming issue, for which she hired the first black photographer (23-year-old Tyler Mitchell) in the publication’s 126-year history to shoot the cover.

But it didn’t stop there! The #Badass Mrs. Carter is said to have not participated in an interview for the publication, something that had not been done in several years with a non-model cover subject.

Contractually, Bey has complete control over the photos of herself inside the magazine, including the photo captions (which she wrote), but apparently, she isn’t authorized to speak to the press. Vogue’s representatives aren’t saying much either.

According to sources, the publication usually maintains a tight leash on the fashion bible, including selecting the outfits worn by cover models. Vogue’s covers are typically shot by fashion photographers with more traditional experience and would have likely not selected Mitchell for a cover shoot.

    Who runs the world? Beyoncé!
