I Moved To A Small City And Here’s What Happened

Though I had only visited two times before moving, I discovered a beautiful little city 28 miles from Atlanta which I now call home.

Loganville may not be as diverse as NYC, but it’s incredibly nice here. Because everyone I’ve encountered has been super welcoming, financially it makes sense, my skin is glowing, and my baby girl’s health is flourishing.

I recently relocated from Brooklyn to a beautiful city in Georgia called Loganville. Everyone keeps asking me “why did I move to a place whereby most New Yorker’s standard is considered slow?” I would chuckle every time then answer… For a better quality of life and a better standard of living for me and my kids. Besides, “if I can make it in New York, I can make it anywhere.”

    Loganville vs NYC

The new apartment is everything I dreamt of when I first moved to New York City, but couldn’t really afford. It sits on the top floor of a three-story building in a complex — Villas at Loganville. The apartment features new appliances, access to a beautiful saltwater pool, a gym and a media room, as well as a balcony with a breathtaking view. It also comes with central AC and heating. Can you say luxury meets convenience?! Certainly a big step up from my Brooklyn apartment, a tiny two-bedroom, 1-bath (which was more like a half bath) nestled on the fourth floor of a walk-up in Crown Heights.

Being based between two cities seems like a win-win. Though NYC was now too small for me, I will travel there frequently for business. In fact, I’ll be there in a couple of days to launch a new project. But Loganville a small city in both Walton and Gwinnett county, is allowing me the space to finally spread my wings and where I’ll come home.

    A new blog vision

In 2012, I started this blog in New York which has afforded me many opportunities and met a lot of people. This blog helped me discover myself and my creative voice. Now, I have a fresh vision of growing Nicole’s Lifestyle Lounge to become a force to be reckoned with in online media. My goal, to be a source of inspiration providing guidance for women around the globe.

I’ve grown over the years and so has this space. Nicole’s Lifestyle Lounge is a resource to help the creative, career-driven woman from the City of Loganville to the metro Atlanta area and New York City live confidently and lead fearlessly.
