Faced with the impossible task of finding a hair accessory to hold and style her natural hair, Ceata Lash invented the PuffCuff.

Little did Ceata know what going back to her natural hair would mean… She would be faced with the impossible task of finding styling accessories to accommodate the thickness and texture of her hair.

“PuffCuff was born the day I decided to stop chemically relaxing my hair and embrace what the good Lord gave me as an African-American woman,” said Ceata. “I also wanted to live a healthier, more natural lifestyle free of chemicals and toxins…”

With no existing solutions that could solve her beauty and self-care needs, Ceata Lash took it upon herself to create one. This led to PuffCuff; a Black woman-owned hair styling brand that provides products and accessories for various types of hair and ethnicities, regardless of gender.

If you have thick, curly, or textured hair and want a damage and headache-free hairstyling tool, PuffCuff is your go-to! It’s unisex and can accommodate 2C to 4C hair textures. Plus, it’s the only clamp specifically designed for this type of hair.

Don’t mistake this for your mom’s old banana clip. It’s completely different! It uses tiny teeth to hold onto the fullness of your hair but without squeezing or pulling like a regular clip.

As the founder and inventor of PuffCuff, Ceata Lash definitely makes her mark in the natural hair space. She’s following in the footsteps of legendary Black women such as Madam C.J. Walker, as she’s currently the only Black woman with four patents for a natural hair accessory. Ceata’s PuffCuff also earned the President’s Innovation Award from Sally Beauty. [Can you say Black girl magic?!]

Ceata’s expertise in graphic design and communication has been a major factor in the success of PuffCuff. Her knowledge really came in handy when it came to designing and cultivating PuffCuff’s brand strategy.

This founder credits her go-getter attitude to her 99-year-old grandma, who encouraged her to pursue her dreams and live life with no regrets. Thanks to this, Ceata was able to make her aspirations a reality by creating a family-run hair brand that champions self-love and self-acceptance.

Shop the brand on their website at ThePuffCuff.com with products also available on Amazon and Target.
