Formal shorts are a must-have style trend regardless of the season. They are a great way to maintain that professional edge while drawing some attention to the legs without opting for skirts.
They are great for casual weekend getaways, evenings, and even the office. Though, I would recommend knee-length for office wear. If you work in the fashion industry then shorter lengths may do just fine. Fitted knee-length formal shorts work best for formal wear and the standard long line works best for meetings. Pair your formal shorts with a feminine blouse and classic t-shirts or tops that are not too tight, and for an added touch dress them up with cropped tailored blazers. If you are having seasonal confusion, you can rock tights under your formal shorts.
When shopping for formal shorts think contemporary, chic, and classic. As for the choice of footwear, unless it’s heels or sandals it may not be a good fit.
