We’re in the midst of planning and executing weddings, churning out content, and working with consulting clients, all while still finding time for family. It’s a lot! But while I’m blessed to have a thriving business where I’m paid to do what I love, the ongoing grind is not good for my health.

Many of us tend to get caught up in our work, caring for our family, and to-do lists, while our own well-being gets put on the back burner. The thing is we can’t be the best version of ourselves if we don’t practice regular self-care and stop glamorizing “the grind”. In fact, studies show that stress is linked to health problems like high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity, and diabetes. And according to the experts, self-care is a great way to boost your mental and physical health.

Let’s face it! Self-care looks different for everyone, but it needn’t be complicated. I’m nourishing myself by adding a little home-office happy hour at the end of my workdays. I’ve realized that blessings hit differently when you take time to celebrate the little victories that keep you on track with your big dreams.
