September is a remarkable month, brimming with significance and purpose. It’s a time when we collectively spotlight two critical causes: Childhood Cancer Awareness and National Sickle Cell Awareness.

Beyond the changing leaves and cooler breezes, this month is a reminder that we have the power to make a difference. It’s not just about reflection but also about taking action. Join us as we delve into the heart of these vital campaigns and discover how we can contribute to the journey of hope and healing.

    Here are the stats!

    • 43 children in the U.S. are diagnosed with cancer every day.
    • Worldwide, about 400,000 children and adolescents develop cancer each year, only half of whom are diagnosed.
    • Nearly 10% of children with cancer develop the disease because they inherited a genetic mutation.

    Supporting the St. Jude Mission

As a mother and entrepreneur, I am deeply invested in creating impact. I use my platform in my own modest way to support the causes I believe in.  One of those causes is childhood cancer, and by partnering with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, I help to champion their lifesaving mission of helping children fight cancers and diseases and get back to being kids.

For more than 60 years, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® has been committed to understanding, treating, and finding cures for sickle cell disease. Their purpose is clear: Finding cures. Saving children.® They are at the forefront of educating the world on how to deal with and overcome childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

When St. Jude opened in 1962, childhood cancer was considered incurable. Since then, St. Jude has helped push the overall survival rate from 20% to more than 80%.

In many developing countries, however, only 1 out of 5 children diagnosed with cancer will survive. But St. Jude won’t stop until no child dies from cancer, no matter where they live.

St. Jude cares for some of the world’s sickest children regardless of their race, ethnicity, beliefs, or ability to pay. Every child deserves a chance to live their best life and celebrate every moment.

When you support St. Jude, you can help make cures possible for kids with cancer. Donations help ensure families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing, or food – so they can focus on helping their child live.

Because of generous donor support, St. Jude can provide children with cutting-edge treatments not covered by insurance at no cost to families.
