If it’s one thing I’ve learned is that much of what gets you ahead in your career or business isn’t what’s taught in school. (Hint: that’s where we come in!)
Whether you work for a company or own the company you will want to tune in for this episode. Listen as David (Dave) Liu shares steps he took to make millions and that we teach will help you hack the system for your benefit.
But first, I want you to grab David Liu’s new book, “The Way of the Wall Street Warrior: Conquer the Corporate Game Using Tips, Tricks, and Smartcuts.”
Listen to “The Open Conversations Podcast” on Spreaker. The Way of the Wall Street Warrior
David Liu is Harvard and the University of Pennsylvania-educated retired Wall Street and Silicon Valley veteran turned entrepreneur. He is also a “perspiring” artist and writer who loves to draw and write funny. Drawing upon his 25 years on Wall Street and Silicon Valley, Liu offers a wealth of actionable ideas on everything from landing an interview to self-promotion to getting paid in his new book. Dave also leaned heavily into research regarding cognitive biases and human nature. The often offbeat humor makes for a great read and the tips can translate into financial success for anyone looking to get a leg up in their career.
“I specifically wrote this book to be applicable to any competitive industry,” Liu said. “All my tips, tricks, and tactics work in Silicon Valley, Hollywood, Madison Avenue, law, medicine, or any work environment that is highly compensated and therefore highly competitive.”
The best part, the net proceeds from the book goes to charity to help children born with a cleft, as well as Asian Americans and other disadvantaged groups. As an Asian-American himself, Liu was born a cleft baby with multiple holes in his mouth and knows the struggles minority groups face in their career journey.
