Back-to-school ideas from top-trending products to healthy eating finds and meal planning tips to maximize your time this school year.
As summer ends and the cooler months approach, there’s something comforting about getting back to regular scheduling. This is also an exciting time for my daughter since she has started fourth grade and for the first time in two years, she is back to in-person school.
While my daughter went back to school the first week of August, some go back in September after Labor Day. This means some parents are still shopping for new clothes, and school supplies, and figuring out what to pack for lunch.
I’m most certainly not complaining, but this past summer was a whirlwind of activities. As a working mama, there is always a lot going on in my brain, so it felt good to settle back into regular scheduling. Planning ahead and making lists has been helping me remember key things and also close those tabs in my head. I even have more time to actually do the things that matter to me.
Planning Ahead with Intention
I also recently started meal planning which has become a huge time-saver and makes my days easier. On Fridays, I plan the weekly meals including what to pack for school lunch for the following week, and make the grocery shopping list. When we do grocery shopping on Saturdays we are able to make less impulsive buys and only get what we’re going to eat while staying within budget.
And while we are on the topic of food, let’s talk about a few awesome finds to help make healthy eating fun for the little ones!
