Forget the basics, go beyond and get right to the good stuff with these baby shower registry must-haves.

This post and giveaway were made possible and sponsored by iConnect and Dreft, all opinions are 100% my own.

As an event planner and mother of two, I know figuring out what to put on a baby registry can be kind of overwhelming – especially for newbie parents. But I’ve come to understand the true benefits of a baby registry. A registry makes it all feel more real. And while it is an exciting way to gush over the teeny clothes and envision the perfect nursery theme… A registry is a way for friends and family, to gift both you and baby a list of registry must haves to make at least the first year a journey of #amazinghood.

    Baby registry must-haves

    1. A Good Humidifier

A good humidifier is one of the items that expecting parents overlook when it comes to setting up their baby registry. Yet, it is one of the most beneficial! A humidifier not only help keep baby healthy by protecting against dry air, but it also keeps the air in baby’s room clean. Plus the rhythmic white noise is also comforting and soothes baby to a peaceful sleep.

    2. A Forehead Thermometer

Babies and fevers are synonymous. And gone are the days of mercury thermometer. Easily take baby’s temperature using a Forehead Thermometer that delivers accurate and professional readings simply by swiping it on the forehead. Readings appear in just seconds providing instant fever detection. Safe, hygienic, and less hassle mom and babies.

    3. A Baby Travel System

Knock two things off your list and get more mileage by getting a baby travel system. A travel system is a combination of stroller and compatible detachable car seat, which makes getting around with a baby a whole lot easier. Babies tend to drift off to sleep in the car, and a travel system allows you to switch sleeping baby from car to stroller without disturbing their dreams. And when baby outgrows the car seat, you still have the stroller. Brilliant isn’t it?

    4. A Really Great Breast Pump

From one mom to the next, two suction cups to your boobs won’t ever feel normal! But whether you plan on nursing or not, you’ll definitely need a really great breast pump. No, not all breast pumps are made equal, so two things to look for are portability and durability. A really great breast pump can be the difference between a happy mommy and baby.

    5. Dermatologist Approved Baby Detergent

You can’t survive parenthood without a good detergent – a necessity for life into #amazinghood.  DREFT (Newborn, Active Baby, and Blissfuls) is the #1 baby laundry detergent choice of pediatricians and the #1 dermatologist-recommended brand for baby clothes. Baby’s skin is delicate and extra sensitive, and Dreft is hypoallergenic and gentle on baby’s skin, while tough on messy stains. Not to mention it makes clothes smell awesome! As babies grow, laundry needs evolve, making Dreft stages the perfect choice. The perfect choice for those messy and imperfect moments that are often the most memorable!

    Baby registry must-haves

The couple Sean and Catherine Lowes from the popular  reality TV show “The Bachelors,” who are expecting was asked about their baby shower registry must haves. They noted Dreft Newborn Detergent was definitely an essential. The couple is celebrating their journey as expectant parents, giving fans a glimpse into all the fun and messy moments to come. Joining them on that messy journey into #amazinghood is Dreft, who threw the couple a “Loads of Love” baby shower – complete with all the love, support and essentials needed to prepare them for the arrival of their precious new baby. So I got the thinking, why not share Loads of Love with one of my loyal readers!
